My client is a leading drug development company that discover and produce novel therapeutics for people suffering from metabolic diseases.
They have a new vacancy for a Temporary Scientist within their Bioassay Development Group in the Pharmacology Department. The position is a fixed term six month contract to start ASAP at their Oxford site.
In this exciting new opportunity, you will work with a team of scientists responsible for biochemical assays and clinical biochemistry. This will include:
· Developing, validating and applying bioassay and bioanalytical methods.
· Writing protocols, technical reports and summaries.
· Development and implementation of novel assays for Translational Research.
You will have a good degree in a Biology related science, together with troubleshooting skills gained in a commercial Pharmaceutical or Biotech environment. You will have an understanding of the principles of GPCR function and have experience with radioligand binding assays and functional assays, as well as other techniques. You will be highly motivated, have good communication skills and be able to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.
Is is important that you are located within reasonable commutable distance from Oxford and can start within a month. No relocation is accepted.
