Are you an experienced materials, coatings or polymer chemist?
Have you previously managed a team of research scientists?
Have you experience of working in a GMP environment?

A leading developer of liquid-repellent coatings in Oxford is recruiting for an experienced senior research scientist who has previous team management skills.

Role and responsibility:
To control multiple developmental projects.
To actively manage a diverse team of research scientists.
To report directly to the Chief Technical Officer regarding all project progress.
To keep accurate and comprehensive records of all projects.
To liaise with external clients to provide technical feedback and updates.


The candidate must have:
A PhD or strong first degree in Science or Engineering.
Team management experience.
A background in industrial manufacturing.
A proven track record of working to budget, delivering results on time and to specification.

The applicant should have:
Excellent inter-personal and communication skills.
The ability to inspire a team as well as self-motivate.
Enthusiasm and professionalism within the workplace.
Strong technical knowledge in the areas of polymer science, surface analysis and/or coatings technology.
