James Windridge
Job title: Regional Science Operations Manager

2 sentences about your role at SRG: I manage the Midlands, South Wales and Oxfordshire regions – looking after a team of scientific recruiters and we cover everything from Biotech to Materials including Pharmaceutical and Food - it’s a very varied job but I have dedicated and experienced consultants for each area which makes my life easier! Having a regional network we get close to our clients and candidates to ensure the best possible service to both.

What do you enjoy most about working at SRG? The people I work with, the company values and the open and honest culture.  SRG has grown and changed  a lot over the 15 years I’ve worked here and most of that has been led by internal staff who have had an idea and that’s been backed by the company.

What motivates you and why? Doing a great job, whether that be for our candidates, clients or my team – a simple “Thank you – you did a great job” goes a long way with me.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I always wanted to play a wind instrument, unfortunately when I was at school I got the violin and was awful at it!

What’s at the top of your bucket list? I went to Panama backpacking last year and really enjoyed it – would love to go on an adventure like that again – maybe see Machu Picchu next time!

Rachel Ellis 
Job title: Account Consultant

2 sentences about your role at SRG: I am a member of the Talent & Delivery team recruiting for some of the most reputable blue-chip pharmaceutical and chemical companies across the UK. I recruit across a multitude of disciplines including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC) and Analytical Chemistry.

What do you enjoy most about working at SRG? As a chemist by qualification, I enjoy working with the scientific community and using personal experiences to help candidates find their career for life.   

What motivates you and why? I continuously seek opportunities for personal development and enjoy learning new skills from a diverse range of people. This is translated into my work, recruiting both entry level graduates and senior managers/team leaders. 

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? To speak a foreign language fluently.

What’s at the top of your bucket list?
To visit New Zealand.

Job title: Senior Consultant – Regional Science

2 sentences about your role at SRG: I recruit scientists at all levels from Lab Technicians to Associate Directors across Scotland covering all areas including Life Sciences, Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices.  My role is varied, from interviewing candidates to meeting with clients to determine their needs and find the best solution tailored to them, no two days are ever the same!

What do you enjoy most about working at SRG? The people make SRG the great company it is along with our strong values.  I love working for a recruitment company who values honesty and providing the best service to our customers – whether that is an applicant or a client.

What motivates you and why? I am motivated by doing a good job and making both my candidates and clients happy.  Receiving a thank you from someone you have just placed in their dream job is priceless.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? I would love to learn to speak Spanish fluently – I have started to learn several times but never seem to find the time to get past a few words!

What’s at the top of your bucket list? To travel to Lapland (Finland), stay in a glass igloo and see the Northern Lights.

Sabrina Andresen 

 Job title: Biometrics Consultant

2 sentences about your role at SRG: I specialise in biometrics recruitment in the life sciences sector in the UK & Europe.

What do you enjoy most about working at SRG: Personally, I like that I can be in charge of my own projects and get my ideas across. 
In terms of our candidates, we have something called “Career for Life” which means that we don’t just place candidates but support them throughout their career which I think is a great message to both candidates and clients.

What motivates you and why?
 Whenever I get to change or have a positive impact on a candidate’s life it’s a great feeling – or when a client requests you to work their roles because they trust that you know what they are looking for- it makes you want to go the extra mile every time.

If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? If I had to choose it would be outdoor rock climbing or alpine climbing but in reality I want to know a little about everything

What’s at the top of your bucket list? I always wanted to travel to Patagonia that would be my ultimate travel goal
