Global Product Support Engineer - based in Manchester with global travel- £Competitive with benefits SRG are currently working with a globally renown Medical Device manufacturer who are looking for someone to take on a Global Product Support Engineer to be based in Manchester with high amounts of travel to their European sites.This role is a permanent position offering a competitive salary with an attractive benefits package including; bonus, pension and private healthcare.The role will involve having a solid understanding of the automated/robotic systems in question and transferring this knowledge to field service engineers, occasionally completing service roles personally if required.Typical responsibilities will include;+Acting as a bridge between the R&D and field service engineers and providing pro-active feedback+Training field service engineers to effectively complete maintenance and repairs on diagnostic machinery+Develops and perform training classes for Service related content, both for pre- and post-launch phase (LCM) to field service engineers (both in the UK and abroad)+Completing relevant documentation work+Working with different members of the team to solve any issues that may arise during the product life cycle+Delivering talks to groups of field service engineers in a clear and confident mannerSkills, Experience and Qualifications Required;+Confidence in producing and delivering training programmes to large groups of engineer in the UK and abroad+Clear understanding of robotics/automated equipment- preferably in a similar environment (Medical Devices/Diagnostics)+Technical and/or scientific degree/education in electronics/biology and reasonable product knowledge within the life science or MDx industry/markets+Min of 2 years service (any additional experience would be beneficial) and support experience in a comparable position within R&D, after sales and/or service business+Proven work experience in managing customer relationships+Very good English language skills both written and spoken.+Ability to handle extensive workloads and show flexibility+Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all business levels+Ability to work independently +Willingness to travel abroad and be flexible in approach to this - up to 50% of the time during first 6 months, ~ 25% afterFor more information, please call Chloe Pulo on 0161 868 2236 or email
