Analytical Scientist (QC)

My client is a well-established, leading supplier of Pharmaceuticals. They work on the manufacture of medicinal products and API's, both with internal manufacturing and external CMO's. As my client experiences continued success and further growth, they are looking to bring in a QC Chemist in a permanent capacity, to work on the quality testing of their Pharmaceutical products.
The main responsibilities of the QC Chemist role will be:
- Perform analysis using HPLC, GC, FTIR, TLC and other techniques according to written procedures- Validation of analytical methods as well as laboratory instrument qualification- Ensure compliance with cGMP during all analytical procedures- Appropriate recording of data and prompt notification of out of specification results.
To be considered for the QC Scientist opportunity, candidates will have:
- Bachelor's degree (or above) in Chemistry or a related area- Experience of pharmacopeia testing methods- Experience within a GMP environment- Experience in the QC testing of Pharmaceuticals (small molecule desirable)- Practical experience of HPLC, GC, TLC and FTIR analysis- Experience of validating HPLC methods (method development experience desirable)- Experience of stability testing
