Platform Manager / Project Manager - Engineering/Manufacturing - Manchester - £CompetitivePosition Description SRG are currently recruiting a Platform Manager / Project Manager for global Life Science company who develop and manufacture molecular diagnostic applications, expanding and enhancing the delivery of life improving diagnostic systems for existing and emerging medical needs focusing in the areas of infectious disease and personalized healthcare. The Platform Manager / Project Manager will work within the Engineering Life Cycle Management Department and is responsible for the post-launch phase life cycle management of the company's Instrument Platforms. The company's instruments form part of a larger workflow of multiple instruments, utilized in the sequencing of core business activities.Position Description:- Taking ownership for the Design History File of the instrument's development documentation.- A working knowledge of the specifications through to verification and validation data for the instruments.- Coordination of internal meetings for development and change.- Understand the impact of hardware & software changes to the Platform and advise on the implementation of these in accordance with established change processes.- Budget management and Production change approval authority.- Working with external PCB manufacturing partners via Agile and ECO creation.- Ensuring compliance to the necessary standards / regulatory bodies.- BOM and inventory management within SAP.Position Requirements - Experience in change management- Engineer (BSc, MSc) with industry experience, preferably with complex electromechanical equipment in regulated, medium volume markets.- Experience in (project) management of interdisciplinary and international teams.- Understanding of business methods such as FMEA , cCMP or CAPA- Exposure of working within an R&D department for high tech designs.- Attention for detail of document changes- Background in electronics for the management of end-of-life components- Interpreting datasheets- Reading schematics and mechanical drawings- Competent with working with subcontractorsPersonal Requirements - Very good coordination and communication skills; - A good command of the English language; - An understanding of matric management systems- Strong stakeholder manager, goal-oriented and forward-looking team player.- An interest in high tech productsFor more information, please call Laith Mustafa on 0161 868 2231 or email
