Quality Control Analyst - Spectroscopy

Based in Nottingham

6 month fixed term contract

Are you a recent Chemistry graduate seeking your first role in industry? Are you interested in the use of spectroscopic techniques such as IR and Raman Spectroscopy?

SRG are currently recruiting on behalf of a global healthcare organisation who are seeking a Laboratory Analyst to join their analytical innovations team, who will support the QC function by developing new techniques and processes to improve efficiency and quality in the manufacturing area.

This role is focussed around the development of new methods for raw material identification and finished product analysis using mainly Near-Infrared (NIR), Raman Spectroscopy and Infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).

Key requirements:

- Minimum BSc in Analytical Chemistry or similar

- Understanding and/or hands on experience using either Raman spectroscopy or NIR

- Experience in HPLC, FTIR and the use of chemometrics (multivariate analysis) is desirable

- Highly motivated, organised with strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills

This is a fantastic entry level opportunity for an enthusiastic Chemistry graduate who is looking to gain industrial experience to develop their knowledge of spectroscopic techniques.
