Research Assistant - Molecular Biology

Do you have proven experience in molecular biology techniques such as NGS or PCR? Would you like to work for a growing biotech company in London?

We are looking to recruit an experienced molecular biologist for an innovative and expanding Biotechnology company in London. The role will provide ongoing support to development and testing of the companies new product and technology platforms.

You will learn and be proficient in multiple assay systems assigned to different assay teams based on development need. The work require high level of technical skills in handling small samples, contamination sensitive assay, delicate equipments and experimental operation. This position will be within a small but productive molecular biology team and will involve work that can be diversifying and challenging, and can also involve routine tests and analysis.

The ideal candidate will be flexible and be able to work with different assay teams. As a nature of a multi-disciplinary company, the role requires communication and interaction with other functional teams across the R&D department. The ideal candidate will also be responsible, proactive, quick learning, and a good team player.

To be considered you will need a BSc, MSc or PhD in molecular biology, biochemistry, diagnostics or a related subject with at least 1 year's working experience of full time, R&D based molecular biology. This should include techniques such as qPCR, NGS, Sequencing, Primer Design or similar.
