An opportunity for an experienced Microbiologist with GMP experience to join a large multinational biotechnology company. Training in microbiological techniques provided.Job Title: Laboratory TechnicianDuration: 12 month Temporary (likely to be extended)Salary: £18500 - £20000 per annumLocation: North WestSRG are working with a specialist biotechnology company who are leaders within their field, dealing with a range of clients across the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Due to continued growth and success, the company are now looking to recruit a Laboratory Technician to work within their contract testing laboratory. Benefits:This is an exciting opening for a Microbiologist to join and by trained by a successful and reputable market leader. The role will be fast paced and varied and will offer the opportunity to develop communication skills by liaising with leading clients in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries. Role:* As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for coordinating with the Laboratory Supervisor to conduct microbiological and QC analysis of samples and ensure the correct booking, storage and handling of samples. * Deal directly with client customer telephone and email enquiries. * Produce accurate customer sample documentation.* Maintain calibration of equipment and instrumentation in the contract testing laboratory.* Ensure work is carried out to GMP and ISO9001 requirements.Requirements:* Good knowledge of microbiological techniques* GMP experience* Report writing* Strong organisational skills* Eligibility to work in the UKThe ideal Microbiologist will be degree qualified or equivalent in Microbiology/Biological sciences or a related subject and must have appropriate skills together with underpinning knowledge.
