Great role for a microbiology graduate to have a varied role - lab based and commercial experience! Based in Gloucestershire you will be working with a well known food research company to do routine lab testing but also have the opportunity to deliver training courses in microbiology.
You will:* Carry out practical microbiology duties associated with the section
* Assist with practical and administrative duties of a bespoke and well respected Microbiology Proficiency Scheme
* Provide support in setting up and demonstrating practical aspects of microbiology in training courses
* Participate in the weekend rota (once trained) providing testing support to the Microbiology Analytical Section
Key skills* Some experience of working in a laboratory* Some experience of practical microbiology * A level/Graduate in Microbiology* Work accurately within specified time frames* Computer literateWeekend and Bank Holiday work will be required on a rota basis, normally one in four, either paid as overtime or taken as time off in lieu. Therefore own transport is essential.
