SRG are working exclusively with an innovative, industry leading organisation, specialising in the production of unique additives for the polymer industry. Leading the way in the synthesis of novel compounds which enhance the longevity, durability & application of a range of polymer products, they are now hiring for an experienced Organic Synthetic Chemist to join their state of the art R&D site based in Manchester.

Role / Description

As part of a small, specialist team, this role will work autonomously focusing on conducting synthetic experimentations to:

  • Develop & optimise manufacturing processes for new & existing products.
  • Identify critical reaction parameters which will affect the final product quality & yield.
  • Analysis of final products using HPLC, GC, NMR & assorted wet chemical techniques.
  • Self-managing long term projects, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Producing detailed reports

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent / higher qualification in Chemistry.
  • A proven background in Organic Synthetic chemistry.
  • A strong knowledge of process / scale up chemistry.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Eligible to work within the UK
