An opportunity for an experienced Calibration Scientist to join a global leading Medical Device company. Experience in a Pharmaceutical or Medical Device organisation highly advantageous.Job Title: R&D Calibration SpecialistVacancy type: PermanentArea: North WestSalary: £27,000-£35,000 depending on experience. SRG are working with a leading global medical device company who as a result of internal promotion have a requirement for a R&D Calibration Specialist responsible for laboratory instrument calibration, maintenance, services, validation and troubleshooting. Role:* Provides expertise to equipment calibration and validation systems compliant ISO13485 standards.* Support equipment qualification activities; review documentation and compile reports.* Approval of equipment calibration records and reports.* Support and compile Non-Conformance reports, laboratory investigations and change controls.* Supervise calibration contractors on site and provide technical assistance as required.* Write and approve laboratory reports in a timely manner.* Advise and support other R&D functions in equipment related issues as a Subject Matter Expert.Requirements:* Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment calibration, servicing and maintenance requirements.* Commands strong technical and problem solving skills and strong technical documentation skills.* Experience in training small groups of staff.* Eligibility to work in the UKThe ideal Calibration Scientist will be degree qualified or equivalent in Chemistry or a related subject and must have appropriate skills together with underpinning knowledge.
