An innovative IVD organisation in the Newcastle area are looking to recruit a Research Scientists to support across the development of their diagnostic platform. Working within a multi-functional group, this individual will be responsible for the development of IVD products.

The Research Scientist will work with the Assay team on the development of their point of care diagnostics, they will be laboratory based carrying out assay design, using PCR, qPCR and DNA/RNA extraction.

The successful research scientist will have a PhD in molecular biology or a related discipline. They will have previous experience in molecular diagnostics, using qPCR and carrying out assay design. With previous experience working in a research and development, experience of infectious disease diagnostics would be very advantageous.
