SRG Premium is proud to be partnering with a rapidly expanding clinical-stage biotechnology company that has a focus on the discovery and development of first-in-class therapeutic antibodies that harness the immune system to improve cancer treatment and clinical outcomes for patients, on the recruitment of a Manager, BioAssays to be based at their headquarters in France.
As Manager, BioAssay you will be part of an expanding bioanalytical platform function with responsibility for the management of all development, validation and transfer of all bioassays (cell based, ligand binding and Nab assays) used for monitoring biological activity during stability studies and for evaluating the neutralising effect of ADA detected by the immunogenicity test. You will also be responsible for cell bank production and characterisation of mammalian cells used for the bioassays and Nab assays. A key aspect of this role will be the assessment and implementation of new technologies and state of the art bioassay approaches as well the develpment of in-house novel bioassay to ensure that thegroup remains innovative and at the forefront of method development.
As Manager, BioAssay you will also be the line manager for a talented, high performing and experienced team of up to 10 scientists, providing technical support and leadership to ongoing projects whilst encouraging innovation and new ideas.
To be considered for this exciting role you will be a PhD educated scientist, or equivalent, within the field of biochemistry/cell biology or biotechnology fields with a strong background in immunology and subject matter technical expertise in the field of bioassays. Pharmaceutical industry experience is essential to include the development and validation of bioassay methods. Experience of working with Monoclonal Antibodies is highly desirable, as is experience within Immunology.
To be successful in this challenging position you will have a background in cell culture and experience of working within CMC bioassay development, with a strong understanding of CMC requirements and a track record of contributing to CMC sections of regulatory submissions and responding to questions from regulatory authorities. You will be able to work under pressure, often to tight timelines, to quickly deliver on novel bioassay development for high priority projects.
