Toolmaker - Kings Lynn - £25,000 - £35,000 per annum + BenefitsSRG are currently recruiting for a Toolmaker to join a plastic injection moulding manufacturer in Kings Lynn.Reporting to the Tooling Manager you will be responsible for the manufacture of new tooling parts and the maintenance of mould tools to meet the business requirements in operations and tool approval.Key Tasks:+ Complete tool servicing, repairing and troubleshooting activities for different types of complex injection mould tools, in-line with internal customers' expectations for robustness, quality and timelines.+ To manufacture tooling parts using the full range of Toolroom equipment either from detailed drawing or project brief and sketches within the defined tolerances, ensuring all work is completed with 'right first time' principles.+ Provide estimated timelines, plan, execute and complete all activities related to mould tools, assembly equipment and fixtures to customer's expectations.+ Provide support in the manufacture and validation of new tooling, to ensure the appropriate standards are met and that any tooling activities are completed to the agreed plan.+ Carry out tooling tasks in a diligent manor, being continuously aware of tooling activities that have the potential to negate product validation or component specifications and providing preventative solutions.+ Complete all activities right first time and to a quality standard that meets the specification with minimum disruption to Operations.+ Obtain quotations for external tooling activities and services, defining the best cost options, communicating and raise orders.+ Maintain and update all relevant documentation related to tooling activities in line with the agreed standards ensuring that any regulatory or quality requirements are met.+ Complete all Toolroom activities in line with Department Procedures, Company Policy and Health & Safety regulations.+ Provide support to Tooling and Operational leadership in the completion of tooling condition assessment reports by providing Tooling Technical feedback that improves the robustness of manufacturing.+ Identify and complete continuous improvement actions that improves the outputs of the function, health & safety and compliance to cGMP+ Monitoring the condition and maintain the Toolroom equipment to appropriate standards+ Coach Toolmaker Assistants and Apprentices to ensure activities are completed correctly and safely and within agreed operating standards.Skills and Experience+ Toolmaker Apprenticeship or relevant experience in using all types of Toolroom equipment.+ Use of CADCAM to complete CNC machining activities.+ Ability to read and understand technical drawings of complex mould tools.+ Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint) and business IT systems.+ Experienced in hot & cold runner injection mould tools, Pneumatic & Hydraulic actuated tools.+ HNC in Mechanical & Production Engineering.+ Knowledge of Twin shot, Stack and Insert Moulding Tools.+ Educated to O level Maths & English or equitant standard.+ Good analytical and problem solving skills in tooling and moulding.+ Ability to draft written technical reports.+ An understanding of moulding principles and processing fault finding.+ Good clear communication skills at all level both written and verbal.+ Ability plan and execute tooling activities with minimum supervision.For more information, please call Laith Mustafa on 0161 868 2231 or email
