Research Assistant - Immunology

Do you hold experience within Immunology based techniques such as Mammalian Cell Culture and ELISA/Flow Cytometry? Are you looking for an opportunity to join an innovative company undergoing continued success?

My client based in the Cambridgeshire area works within the Biotechnology field within a number of work areas. As my client continues to grow and experience ongoing success, they are now seeking a Research Assistant in Immunology to work with

The Immunologist (Research Assistant) role holder will focus on the execution of Cell based assays, with other immunology focused techniques.

The main responsibilities of the Immunologist role will include:

* Assist Research Scientists within discovery projects within Cell Biology and Molecular Biology.

* Perform Biochemical based techniques including Cell Culture and assay based work.

* Performance of relevant immunology techniques; Flow Cytometry, ELISA, Mammalian Cell Transfection and Western Blot.

* Designing and execution of biological assays for protein characterization.

To be considered for the Research Assistant role, candidates will hold a Bachelors or Masters degree (or equivalents) in a relevant Biological area. Candidates must have experience within Mammalian Cell Culture, Cell Based Assays, Flow Cytometry and ELISA. . Candidates will also hold general Molecular Biology skills (Cloning and related). Ideally candidates will have industry based experience, though we may consider a strong academic based experience or relevant dissertation area.

Candidates who have worked in PBMC Isolation, T-Cells and other related areas of Immunology will be at a further advantage.
