Laboratory Analyst required, based in Greater Manchester - North. Requiring good time management skills, attention to detail and practical laboratory experience from either an industrial or university environment.
Title: Laboratory Analyst
Location: Greater Manchester - North
Salary: £19,000 per annum
SRG is working exclusively with a business operating independently in Greater Manchester, but with global ownership and support. The company specialise in the manufacture of disinfectant and hygiene chemicals and as a result of recent positive changes, they are looking to hire a Laboratory Analyst to join their small but very busy technical team. The successful individual will have experience of wet chemistry techniques and some experience working in a laboratory. If you have good analytical skills and would be keen to learn formulations at a later stage this could be the role for you.

Role / Description
- Analysis of raw materials and finished products - titrations, pH, viscosity testing
- Analysis of environmental and used samples
- Maintenance and calibration of lab equipment
- Accurate recording of results
- Ordering laboratory consumables
- Ad hoc support with R&D - training on formulations provided for future development projects
- Working to ISO 9001
- Sample preparation
- Keeping the laboratory clean and tidy
- Degree in Chemistry or similar OR qualified by experience
- Previous experience working in a lab using wet chemistry techniques
- Ability to interpret results from analysis
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Team player, with high attention to detail
This role would be an excellent opportunity for a recent Chemistry graduate with or without industrial experience, or perhaps someone with experience in a similar environment.
