Analytical Scientist

Stevenage - Hertfordshire

SRG are a strategic recruitment partner to a global pharmaceutical company who are looking for an Analytical Scientist to join their team in Stevenage. You will be required to test samples using a range of chemical, biochemical and biological tests.

Key responsibilities:

  • To ensure that all materials and components used or produced meet specification
  • To work within defined systems and procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards
  • To perform routine analysis of samples by using methods such as HPLC, uHPLC, electrophoresis, dissolution and Karl Fisher
  • To record data and maintain a laboratory notebook.
  • To assist in generating analytical data for regulatory submissions.
  • To record deviations from the normal practice and out of specification results appropriately and report them to the line manager
  • To assist with investigations products and test anomalies.
  • To assist in generating analytical data for regulatory submissions

Key requirements:

  • BSc degree, or equivalent experience in Chemistry or related discipline
  • Experience in the following analytical methods; HPLC, uHPLC, electrophoresis, dissolution and Karl Fisher
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Have clear communication skills in both oral and written forms with both internal departments and external organisations
  • Demonstrate the ability to take initiative, work independently, problem solve, work effectively in teams and multitask.
  • Familiarity with working in a GMP environment
