Do you have experience of running Gas Chromatography (GC) from within a regulated laboratory

Would you like to work for a leading Pharmaceutical company in London?

My client are a well established and successful business providing GMP/GLP analytical services and consultancy to a range of clients from Big Pharma to small research groups, due to expansion they are looking to hire an experienced Analytical Chemist to work within their Chromatography laboratory focused on Gas Chromatography GC analysis and development.

The company is independent and prides itself in providing a high quality reliable analytical service to its Clients. The work involves testing raw materials and finished products to in-house or published methods. Fast turnarounds are often requested which will require a flexible approach from the analyst.

As an analytical chemist you will work using gas chromatographic techniques to pharmacopoeial or other published method sources in a contract analytical testing laboratory. The work will be carried out in compliance with the Company regulations including in-house health and safety, GMP, GLP and UKAS Quality requirements.

To be considered you wuill need the following skills and experience;

  • Proven experience running GC / Gas Chromatofraphy analysis
  • A BSc or MSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or a similar subject, or equivilent experience
  • Experience of working within Pharmaceutical QC / Quality Control would be an advantage
  • Experience working within a regulated laboratoy, with strick quality systems such as UKAS, GMP or GLP
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Good organisation and time management skills
  • Able to work under pressure to meet deadlines
