Temporary Graduate Development Technician

(Temporary Contract- 6 months)

Location Greater Manchester

Salary £18,000 - £19,000

SRG have an immediate start opportunity with a leading specialist Chemicals Company based in Manchester. Based within the R&D labs, this position will be a contract role for initially 6 months, supporting the development of new products. This would be a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate with experience within an industrial lab to join an innovative, market leading company within the Chemical industry.

Benefits: This position offers a great opportunity for a recent graduate with limited experience as full training can be given. Equally this position can offer an experienced Colour chemist with the opportunity to join a company who are leaders in their field.

Role/Description:

  • Routine analysis of finished products and raw materials
  • Assisting with product development projects
  • Maintain laboratory stocks, making reagents and reordering materials as needed
  • General laboratory maintenance and housekeeping duties

Requirements:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry or a related field
  • Previous experience within an industrial laboratory is desirable but not essential
  • Knowledge of Colour Chemistry linking to Inks & dispersions or similar applications will be advantageous
  • Available for an immediate start
  • Fully eligible to work within the UK

This will be a temporary position, well suited to a recent chemistry graduate with some experience within an industrial laboratory who is looking to begin a career as a development Chemist. Full training can be given, and this will be a weekly paid role, likely to last for an initial term of 6 months.
