Process / Production Technician - Medical Devices - Middlesbrough - Temp to Perm

SRG are working with a Medical Device manufacturer who are looking for a Process/Production Technician to join their growing team. This role will begin on a temporary basis and after probation is passed it will be transferred into a permanent position.

This role will carry a range of responsibilities including;

- Working hands-on in the production of customer orders and internal project requirements- Operating CNC machines and carrying out routing/drilling/plating - Running and maintaining drilling machines - Working with Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) within a manufacturing environment- Creating CAM (Visual CAM) programs from AutoCAD/ Solidworks outputs for Drilling and Routing process- Setting up validation of the production manufacturing process with new products and procedures- Creation and management of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)- Use Continuous Improvement and Lean Initiatives to provide a structured approach to quality, cost and delivery improvements.- Auditing of internal systems and suppliers and provide corrective actions and guidance as and when required

To be successful within this role it is essential that you have experience with the following;

- CNC Machinery and basic electrical knowledge- Drilling/Plating/Routing Operations- PCB (Printed Circuit Board) experience - CAM experience is desirable although not essential

Educational Requirements;

- Engineering and Business Improvement NVQ in Mechanical or Process Engineering discipline - In special circumstances, previous significant experience in a related process environment or company will be considered as alternative to academic qualification.
