R&D Technician based in Lancashire

Our client is a leading manufacturer of polymers supplying to a wide range of industries including the automotive, aerospace and medical device industries. They successfully partner with a number of global organisations and are known for their cutting-edge polymeric solutions, streamlined production facilities, application development expertise and unmatched technical support. They are currently seeking Graduate laboratory technician to join their team in Lancashire on a 6 month contract.
Benefits: This is an immediate start opportunity for an experienced chemist to join the R&D team of a specialist polymer laboratory.
Role / Description
Based within the R&D laboratory, this position will be responsible for:
- Providing specialist analytical support using techniques that will include:
- Optical Microscopy
- Mechanical Testing
- Generating detailed reports and communicating directly with clients.
- Investigating root causes of problem materials and providing technical support.
- A degree in chemistry / material science or a related field.
- Previous experience using the techniques mentioned above
- A proven background within an industrial laboratory
- Previous experience within a polymer laboratory would be highly advantageous, but not essential.
- Available for an immediate start / with short notice
This is an immediate start position on an initial 6 month contract within the R&D team of a specialist polymer manufacturer. This would be an ideal opportunity for a chemist who is available to start with short notice to gain experience within a R&D environment.
