Senior R+D Engineer (Research and Inovation) - Medical Devices - Permanent - East Yorkshire

SRG are working with a Medical Device client on a unique and new opportunity within a cutting edge environment. If successful the candidate will be taking a lead role in the research and designing of a brand new medical device product with the possibility to change the face of healthcare.

If you have a naturally inquisitive nature, and enjoy working with a range of electronics/softwares, this role provides the opportunity to create never seen before products and discover the next generations medical devices- an ideal role for the natural inventor.

Essential Job Functions

  • To aid evaluation and analysis activities for support a wide range of Research and Innovation activities including the evaluation of technologies presented to the group.
  • Research into new technologies to be investigated, designsupport a wide range of Research and Innovation activities including the evaluation of technologies presented to the group, research into new technologies to be investigated, designtechnologies presented and research into new technologies to be investigated.
  • Quickly becoming/identifying a subject matter expert and will include testing of prototypes and presentation of the outputs of the investigations.support a wide range of Research and Innovation activities including the evaluation of technologies presented to the group, research into new technologies to be investigated
  • To plan and carry out the technical activities
  • To support the validation and verification of medical electrical device
  • To perform and document all activities in compliance with relevant Quality Systems Standards

Requirements

  • Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical discipline such as Medical/Mechanical Engineering with a bias to Electrical Engineering.
  • Knowledge of scientific test methodology
  • Technical writing
  • Able to understand new product development tasks

Beneficial Skills

  • Working knowledge of a CAD program (Solidworks preferred)
  • Experience of design of electrical/mechanical systems
  • Understanding of heavy regulatory environment (e.g. Medical/Automotive/Aerospace)
