Graduate R&D Technician based in Lancashire

My client is a leading manufacturer of quality polymers for a variety of customers ranging from start-up distributors to large multinational organisations. Their polymers can be found in dental and biomedical products, civil & military aircraft, submarine cockpits, paints, lubricants & mobile phones. They are now seeking to hire an R&D Chemist to join their team based in Lancashire. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate to begin a career within Research & Development and full training can be given.

Role / Description

This position will be responsible for the production of speciality polymers through the day to day operation of reactors. This will involve:

  • Controlling all aspects of the production process
  • Monitoring & Processing scrap materials
  • Cleaning & Maintenance of Reactors

Requirements

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Material Science or a related field.
  • Knowledge or experience of polymer chemistry would be desirable but not essential.
  • Comfortable in a fast moving manufacturing environment under own initiative

(This position will involve Physical work requiring the successful candidate to manipulate materials of up to around 20Kg in an industrial environment.)

Working Hours

08:00 - 17:00 / Monday - Friday (This position will require the flexibility to work overtime when required)
