Quality Engineer - Rochdale - Permanent - Medical Devices SRG are working with an orthopaedic manufacturer who are looking to grow their team with two Quality Engineers. This position is a great opportunity for someone looking to make their own mark in an ever growing industry. Our client is also looking to hire as soon as possible and so this is the chance to start 2018 off with a new role in Medical Devices.Main Purpose of the Role: To lead the validation process within the company Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturingprocesses Work to medical standards; Installation qualification (IQ), Operational Qualification (OQ), PerformanceQualification (PQ) Incorporate concepts and quality techniques along all the productive system. Deploy organisationalstandards for control proceedings and auditingKey Accountabilities: Validation process Creating and amending production routes Creating and completing engineering change notes Creating PFMEA's Liaising with all functions (including suppliers) Process evaluation and improvement - fault root cause investigation and process controls implementation Analyse data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests Establishes statistical confidence by identifying sample size and acceptable error; determining levels of confidence Develops sampling plans by applying attribute, variable, and sequential sampling methods Prepares reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising data; making recommendations Lean manufacturing Stay up to date with technological developments Ensure health and safety standards are adhered to Ensure that all products are thoroughly quality checkedKey Skills / Knowledge / Experience / Education Quality or Mechanical Engineering related qualifications (ONC/HNC/Degree) or equivalent qualificationsKnowledge Quality Management System Principles and Techniques International & British Quality Standards (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 17025, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS18001, FDA, QSR's and Medical Devices Directive) Good Manufacturing Practice Quality toolbox including FMEA, Process flows, Root cause investigations, Lean and Six Sigma tools &techniques Internal Audit experience to the relevant standards Validation requirements (IQ, OQ, PQ) MSA & GR&R experience Document and maintain records accuratelyExperience Experience within a Quality process related role ideally in Medical Devices or Automotive Experience with plastics is advantageousIf interested please send an updated CV or call 0161 868 2236 for more information.
