Electrical Maintenance Engineer - Permanent Day Shifts - Medical Device - Todmorden

SRG are working with a medical device manufacturing organisation who are looking to grow their team with a permanent electrical maintenance engineer. The company is question have a strong reputation in the industry and have great long term

They are looking for someone who can assist in the maintenance, upgrade and replacement of equipment as and when needed. The requirement is for someone with an electrical bias who is comfortable working with control systems, switchgear panels, motors, sensors etc but some hydraulic knowledge would be an advantage.

KEY RESPONSIBILTIES* To schedule and undertake periodic maintenance on all equipment, components, and installations * Provide quick response to equipment breakdowns and resolve issues in a timely and correct manner * Installation of new electrical equipment and fittings.* Recommend replacement for old or faulty electrical components or fittings.* Assist in the forecasting requirements and creation of a budget * Make suggestions for continuous process improvement * Keep accurate records of work carried out* Provide a safe working environment for members of staff

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: * Four or more years in a maintenance position* Apprentice Trained or equivalent with NVQ Level 3 - City & Guilds ONC/OND/HND/BTEC Electrical equivalent minimum* Familiarity with IEE wiring regulations BS7671 17th edition* Industrial manufacturing background* Experience of control systems an advantage (i.e. Single loop controllers or PLC's)* Knowledge of Health & Safety and Environmental Legislation* Full UK driving license* Experience of calibration and hydraulic systems is not a requirement but would be advantageous.

HOURS OF EMPLOYMENT* Monday to Thursday 8.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 8.00 to 1.00pm whic includes breaks* Due to the nature of the work, you may be expected to be flexible with regards to working hours and breaks to enable the best efficiency and utilisation during the daily period* Duties and hours may vary dependent upon workload
