The company is a leading global provider of innovative equipment and services to the Poultry, Meat and Fish producing industries. Owing to their consistent growth, an additional Overseas Service Engineer is sought to join the global Technical Support team based in Essex. This thriving company are looking for practical and methodically minded Engineers who will provide comprehensive international support.
The ideal candidates will be highly motivated and possess a solid level of engineering skills supported by recognised qualifications in electronics or equivalent. Due to the nature of the job, the successful applicants must be willing to travel overseas for around 130 days of the year with on-going travel throughout the UK & Ireland. The Candidate will also need to be a confident independent traveller and be able to manage their own health and safety.
- Installing, repairing, diagnosing and commissioning complex machinery
- Attending trade shows and industry events
- Supporting Technical Support and Innovation department teams by conducting system testing and mechanical/software diagnosis activities
Skills Desired (not all are necessary)
- Experience of hi-tech machinery within the food industry or equivalent is ideal though experience with transferable skills would also be considered
- IT literate - experience with Microsoft Office
- Electrical / Electronic experience bias needed
- Experience with automated control systems would be desirable
- Experienced independent traveller holding a current passport required.
They are looking for driven, practical and proactive Service Engineer who is commercially aware and able to communicate well at all levels. This role will suit an Engineer who is keen to become part of a professional technical support environment within a market leading company with a strong global presence.
You will receive full product training and will be partnered up with other experienced engineers while in training. This is typically for the first 6-12 months.Overseas trips are typically Monday to Friday, however, there are requirements for weekend work from time to time and some trips could be for as long as 3 weeks. Because of these requirements, a rest period is built into the role to allow the engineers time at home where they typically would provide remote or telephone support.Based in the South East, these roles are easily commutable from within and around the following areas: Braintree, Chelmsford, Ipswich, Southend and Clacton on Sea.
