SRG Premium is proud to be working as an exclusive partner with a small but established UK Biotech, working on the discovery and development of novel drugs to treat life threatening fungal diseases. They aim to serve an unmet medical need by developing drugs that target the most difficult to treat fungi, especially those with the highest mortality rates. We are currently looking for a Medical Scientist to join this ambitious and highly experienced team.Reporting to their Head of Clinical Operations you will work closely with internal and external groups, providing medical and scientific support to clinical development processes in phase one and phase two clinical trials. You will bring together clinical, medical and technical disciplines to ensure the successful execution of clinical trials. Taking the lead on developing clinical documentation from a clinical/medical perspective, you'll writes dosing guidelines and provide medical support to investigators and KOL's relating to patient management, protocol requirements and more. You will be a key contact for CRO's and regulatory agencies, whilst also playing an important role in patient safety.The business operates from a site in the North West as well as remotely/"from home". Based across the UK and with some senior members in the US, they encourage flexible working arrangements. This role will require around 2 days a week on site, but can comfortably perform the role from home otherwise. Therefore, they need a driven self-starter, and someone who has the communication skills to work with a variety of colleagues, vendors and consultants both remotely and in person. Excellent interpersonal skills and experience of working with global contacts will be vital. This role would be ideal for a Pharmacist or medical professional with knowledge of Good Clinical Practices and a deep understanding of European/US regulatory requirements for clinical trials. Practical experience of clinical trial execution and investigator/site relations, combined with knowledge of patient safety/pharmacovigilance and strong scientific writing skills will be highly regarded.
