Electronic Project Engineer - Medical Devices - Permanent - Cheshire

SRG are working with a highly successful Medical Device organisation who are looking to expand their Electronics department with an experienced professional. This role will involve developing new products as well as re-designing exsiting products from an electronic perspective.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop new products or redesign existing products * Capable of working in both large and small project teams* Incorporate a broad understanding of manufacturing processes into the design work* Develop testing plans that challenges and proves the design* Generate new concepts for products and sub-components* Define, set up, carry out and interpret product testing throughout the development lifecycle* Generate detailed documentation, specifications and design packages* Perform engineering calculations as required.* Selection of components working alongside the supply chain functions* Support other areas of the business including production and servicing to resolve issues* Input to the preparation of manuals, QA/RA submissions, sales literature and training materials etc.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

* Good degree in Electronics Engineering or similar field* Alternatively significant experience of engineering design is required with a HNC/HND

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:

* Demonstrated track record in electronic design and development* Strong technical and analytical skills* Design of small automated systems* Best practice understanding and experience of FPGA, SMPS, uControllers and mechatronics.* Desire to innovate, develop and improve products* Ability to follow through on tasks to completion* CAD skills e.g. circuit schematic and PCB layout experience* Adherence to a stage gated quality system* Ability to work independently and with others* High degree of initiative and self motivation* Professional written and verbal communication skills* Good interpersonal and organisational skills* Good IT skills including MS Office applications* Mandatory and Regulatory Safety, EMC and Environmental Standards compliance experience

Non essential Hiring Criteria:

* PADS PCB familiarity* Pro/Diagram, Pro/Cable and/or Pro/Harness CAD experience* Medical device or in-vitro diagnostics experience* Laboratory automation and consumables experience* Verification and validation experience* Systems engineering experience
