R&D Manager - Medical Device - North WestSRG are currently recruiting for a R&D Manager to join an established Medical Device company in the North West on a permanent basis at a comeptitive reumneration package, depending on experience.Working in a team that focus on Existing Product Development, you will be responsible for managing a team of 6/7 Scientists and Engineers. You will be a hands-on person, and have experience in medical device laboratory/testing, product development/delivery, design transfer.Skills & Experience;Essential* Experience of management and coaching of team members* Bachelor's Degree in Science and/or Engineering (or equivalent)* Experience working within the Medical Devices or equivalent regulated industry* Experience in laboratory environments, test methods development, validation, analysis, statistics, design of experiments, and various analytical measurement techniques.* Demonstrable experience of on-time delivery of complex technical projects and activities* Building productive relationships with external parties, e.g. design houses, test labs, and contract development and manufacturing organisations* Knowledge of Design Control Frameworks in accordance with EU ISO 13485 & US 21CFR820 Quality Systems for Medical Devices* Highly structured, ability to progress lots of tasks in parallel* Proven problem-solving skills * The ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) is essential. * Highly computer literate i.e. Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) Desirable* Experience product design (high level and detailed), detailed design, quality function deployment, design for manufacture, design for assembly and/or value proposition design.* Experience of Design Transfer from R&D to Manufacturing Operations* Experience of setting up new / pilot processes to full scale production systems is desirable* Experience of Process Validation activities (FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ, PQ activities) and Change ControlFor more information, please call Laith Mustafa on 0161 868 2231 or email
