We are looking for experienced Scientist within Quantum Technology subject to join one of the world's top three national Measurement Institutes. Quantum Technology is rapidly developing subject, with applications based on atomic systems ranging from quantum simulators and processors, to atomic clocks and sensors.

This role will be focused on employing microtrap devices to create high - fidelity entangled states of trapped ions; subsequently these systems will be applied in precision quantum metrology.

You will be working with:

Experimental design, construction and investigation, data recording, analysis and interpretation, working with academic and industrial collaborators and presentations of results at project meetings and conferences.

We are looking for PhD (or similar level) in experimental physics or related engineering research. You should have experimental experience in laser - cooled atomic systems and range of photonic components used for their control.
