Mechanical Engineer - Medical Device - Oxford SRG are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to join a Global Medical Device company in Oxford on an initial 12 month Fixed Term Contract basis, at a salary of circa £45,000 - £55,000 per annum + Bonus & Benefits.Reporting to theDirector of Device Development, you will be responsible for the;* Testing of innovative next generation medical devices and electro-mechanical sub systems with in regulated GxP environment* Protocol development and recording of data in line with established QMS and Medical Device Design Control framework* Generation of data and summary reports, including interpretation of data leading to technical conclusions and suggested next steps* Works towards generating data to support regulatory approvals, including CE Mark for next generation productsSpecific / Other responsibilities will include:* Create protocols, generate and summarise data to support the analysis and evaluation of proprietary mechanical and electro-mechanical medical devices as part of current life cycle management activities and development of the companys next generation platform* Engage and work closely with global 3rd party suppliers with specialist capabilities in production manufacture and Medical Device development* Design and Manufacturing of bespoke test equipment to assess and evaluate Medical Devices* Support of existing products including electro-mechanical diagnostic devices, including technical investigations and root cause analysisQualifications and/or experience required to perform the role* University Degree, preferably in Engineering or other technical discipline * Experience in Pharmaceutical or Medical Device Development * Working knowledge of CFR21 11 part 820 QMS, ISO 13485* The flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and manage activities to meet the needs of the business while maintaining a focus on quality* Methodical with attention for detail and desire to generate data to support the ongoing life-cycle management of the company's products and develop Next Generation Medical devices in a dynamic environmentDesirable Skills/ Experience* Electro-mechanical devices and system* CAD software (Creo or Solidworks)* Team player that is willing to take on and support other activities outside core expertise as required to ensure departmental goals achieved* Strong interpersonal and communication skills- confident and capable in a client facing roleFor more information, please call Laith Mustafa on 0161 868 2231 or email
