Job Title: Mass Spectrometry Specialist.Location: Bracknell, Berkshire.Contract: Permanent.Salary: Competitive.SRG are working with a global leading Agrochemical company based in Bracknell, who are looking for a Mass Spectrometry Specialist to work within their Product Metabolism and Safety departments. The organisation possesses a diverse portfolio of crop protection products including herbicides, fungicides and insecticides. As a Mass Spectrometry Specialist, you will be involved in:- The design and implementation of MS methodology in-line with the demands of current ongoing projects.- Advising on and interpreting analytical data of active ingredient metabolites, and performance of follow-up analytical experiments.- Independently providing expert technical assistance to external suppliers of the business to facilitate technological knowledge transfer.- Instrumentation maintenance, with proposal and implementation of improvements to optimise system capacity and capability. Requirements:- PhD in Chemistry or a Bachelors/Masters with experience (over two years').- Significant industrial experience working within a laboratory setting with Mass Spectrometry (e.g. GC-MS, LC-MS, etc.).- Strong theoretical knowledge and expertise of MS, specifically involving small molecules.- Expert knowledge of the acquisition and interpretation of MS data.- Practical experience of optimising instrumental performance and an understanding of synthetic mechanisms is preferable.- An ability to work with high accuracy at all times, with excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to work well as a team, and a problem-solving nature.Apply direct online today, or for more information about the role please call Nathan McCarron on 0161 868 2234 or .
