Environmental Fate Scientist/Study Director

£25-35K (Dependent on Experience)

Are you experienced with the running of environmental fate studies? Have you worked on regulatory studies to GLP? Are you looking for an opportunity to be involved in the shaping of a new department?

An organisation at the forefront of environmental research in the York area are looking to recruit an experienced individual to join their business as a Study Director within Environmental Fate. The individual will be involved in the development and running or laboratory based studies looking into the environmental fate of industrial chemicals, veterinary medicines, pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals.

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Work to international guidelines to perform regulatory fate studies for a range of chemicals
  • Perform and manage regulatory studies
  • Manage at small team in the execution of these studies
  • Prepare final reports
  • Develop Study Plans to suit the needs of the client and in line with international regulations
  • Liaise with customers on findings

The successful Study Director will have previous experience working within a laboratory environment working on environmental fate, bioaccumulation or metabolism studies. The individual will have performed regulatory studies in line with GLP and have a strong working understanding of international guidelines for such studies. A degree in a related subject would be advantageous, however is not essential if sufficient experience is shown.
