Entry level opportunity for a Graduate Chemist in Lancashire

Our client is a growing company specialising in the recovery and treatment of hazardous waste. With multiple sites in Lancashire and a UK-wide customer base, they are now looking to hire a Graduate Chemist to join their team due to ongoing expansion.

Benefits: This is an excellent entry level opportunity that will be able to provide full training on the job. Based within an experienced team, this role would be well suited to a graduate chemist looking for their first position with the industry as previous experience is not required.

Role / Description This position will be part of the Process plant team on a busy waste treatment facility, time will be split between the lab & working on the plant (70%/30%) and duties will include:

  • Analytical testing of materials using a range of wet chemical techniques & XRF.
  • Modelling reactions for aqueous treatments
  • Operating reaction vessels - managing chemical processes.
  • Testing and reporting environmental discharges.

Requirements

  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Strong work ethic with a desire to learn
  • Happy to work in a "Hands on" industrial environment

This is an ideal role for a Graduate Chemist who is looking for their first position with the chemical industry as full training can be provided. Equally this role will be well suited to an analytical chemist or site chemist who is looking for a change.
