Are you a leader with experience in the pharmaceutical sector? An opportunity has arisen for a Team Leader to guide a team on Merseyside.
About the organisation:
You will be working for an international packaging company, who offer services to the pharmaceutical sector. You will be joining at an important time for the business, as they implement plans of growth and development during 2018 and beyond.
You will be rewarded with a competitive salary (upwards of 40K), 26 days holiday (plus bank) and a 15% bonus (dependant on performance).

About the Job:
As Engineering Team Leader you will be responsible for the management, coaching and development of your team. You will also lead the reduction of reactive maintenance and drive continuous improvement within the business.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Contractor management.
- Implementation of new processes and procedures.
- Machine installation.
- Reactive and pre planned maintenance assistance.
- Performance management.
You will be working on their Liverpool site managing a team of shift engineers, although the role is days based.
You will have a proven track record of managing teams that maintain high-speed packaging lines. You have experience in formulation, packaging and filling - as well as aseptic (sterile) manufacturing.
Your background in pharma, FMCG, chemicals or medical devices has given you the ability to troubleshoot any issues and come to a conclusion quickly, to aid all possible downtime. You will have a clear understanding of GMP, and you're able to ensure company procedures are adhered to at all times.
With plans to start the production lines in 2020, the early part of your role will be in support and production of supporting documents / new processes.
The following is also required:
- Degree in Engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering, or HND.
- Desirable to be a Chartered Engineer.
- Experience with Aseptic manufacture (essential)
- Experience in Commissioning (desired but not essential).
- Experience in Serialisation (desired but not essential).
- The ability to be hands on when required.
