Job Title: Associate ScientistDepartment: Biology Location: LondonSalary: CompetitiveContract type: TemporaryStart date: ASAPThe company:This company specialise in developing antibody conjugates to develop innovative therapies for diseases. They are part of a leading biopharmaceutical group that focus on R&D activities and are at the forefront of oncology studies in the UK.The role:They are looking to employ an Associate Scientist to work within their R&D Biology department to support the development of Antibody Drug Conjugates (ADCs). Your day to day activities will include:* Culturing mammalian tumour cells whilst adhering to sterile conditions* Characterising tumour cell panel by performing flow cytometry * Developing and performing cytotoxicity assays for ADCs and Pyrrolobenzodiazepines (PDB) warheads * Generating and purifying recombinant antibodies and hybridoma-derived antibodies* Developing antigen-binding potency assays for antibodies and ADC's using ELISA tests * Continuously contributing to writing standard operating procedures and risk assessmentsAbout you:You will have the following experience and or/qualifications:* BSc or Ph.D in relevant scientific subject* Bio-Safety Practitioner Level 1 * Confident with Microsoft Office and Graph-Pad Prism * Previous experience working with mammalian cell culture and protein characterisation techniques * Prior use of Intellicyte/FlowJo cytometry softwareDesirable experience:* Ideally have extensive experience in a Biotech/Pharma environment * Previous experience in Biacore, GE Healthcare AKTA software, Imaging microscopy and use of Shimadzu UPLC chromatography software and hardware
