Principal Analytical Development Scientist
Do you have a wealth of experience working on the development of analytical methods for the analysis of therapeutic proteins? Are you keen to secure the next step in your career?
A leading biopharmaceutical organisation in the North East are looking for an experienced Analytical Scientist to join their Analytical Development group. This individual will lead on client programmes, ensuring the delivery of the analytical section of projects.
The Principal Analytical Development Scientist will take the lead on process development, handing over analytical techniques to QC and dealing with troubleshooting of methods with R&D, QC and manufacturing teams. They will lead a team of individuals on each project, this may be up to 4 individuals. Within their role they will identify and implement new technology and applications, establishing analytical methods that meet all quality and regulatory standards, are cost-effective and the most appropriate for each project. Please note the team of scientists will do the bulk of the laboratory work so this role will not be lab based.
The successful Analytical Development Scientist will have:
- Strong experience working on protein analysis
- Experience with a variety of analytical techniques including chromatography, electrophoresis and spectroscopy. Techniques they currently use include UPLC, LC, HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis, UV and ELISA. Although experience with each of these is not required.
- Experience working in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Strong leadership ability (experience leading teams is not necessary)
