Finance and HR Manager - Northampton - Life Sciences / Eng Background - £Comp+7.5% pension contribution
SRG are working exclusively with a world leading business who have supported some of the most successful life science and aerospace companies in the world. Due to a team member retiring, the business are now looking for a qualified and driven HR/Finance Manager to join their team on either a part-time or full-time basis.
Overview: Preparing month and end-of-year accounts for the business and related companies, overseeing accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations and all other related financial tasks.
* Monitoring and analysing accounting data and produce financial reports or statements for the CEO and management meeting team* Establishing and enforcing proper accounting methods standards, policies and principles* Overseeing any HR functions such as disciplinary matters should they arise* Coordinate and complete annual audit statutory accounts* Provide recommendations* Continually review and recommend Improvements to systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions* Meet financial accounting objectives* Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions* Attend annual insurance review meetings for the business and monitor insurance coverage and update as required* Maintain and implement current HR policies, with external advice* Assist with arranging shipping products* Oversee general office functions Required Qualifications:
* Degree qualified within; Engineering/Science/Accountancy if possible* SAP Experience* Min AAT qualified * Proven experience as an accountant, accounting manager, accounting supervisor or finance manager* Experience of using SAP for accounting is desirable but not essential * Experience of using Sage for payroll desirable * Good MS Office skills are essential, particularly word and excel * Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
* Advantage to have ACCA or CIMA qualifications* Knowledge of SQL would be an advantage
