MAINTENANCE ENGINEER - MEDICAL DEVICES - ESSEX - £35,000 + 18% SHIFT ALLOWANCE

SRG are working with a highly innovated and rapidly growing manufacturer located in Essex. The company are responsible for producing filtration devices used within various highly regulated environments including; MOD, Aerospace, Medical Device and Subsea.

This role involves working both day and evening shifts (rotating week by week), with voluntary night shifts expected on occasion due to a growth of business for the site. Maintenance engineers are taking it in turns to cover for each other during these night shifts and although not yet written within the contract, it would be expected that the successful candidate will also be able to commit to this to meet business needs. During night shifts you are alleviated from on call duties.

Responsibilities of role

* Complete day to day maintenance tasks and ensure adherence to service level agreements* Work in accord with maintenance KPIs suggesting and implementing improvements as required, e.g. costs, spares, plant availability* Play a significant part in future developments and manufacturing efficiency, learning and utilising new technologies as appropriate* Assist in the identification of critical equipment and the setting up of a robust TPM program with a suitable balance of PPM activities to ensure maximised up-time of plant equipment* Service and proactively maintain the electrical instrumentation and control systems including, as required, revising and changing control system programming* Support in the compilation of dynamic risk assessments for all key maintenance procedures* Support in the compilation of maintenance work instructions* Work alongside Engineering Administrator to ensure PPM schedule is adhered to and recorded correctly; also, to assist with the stores and spare parts management.

Essential Experience

* Familiar with ISO environment (the company works to ISO9001)* Electrical Bias required (wit mechanical knowledge and understanding)* Computer literate

Ideal Experience (strong advantage)* Experience with robotics - Kawasaki would be perfect
