Microbial Sterility Assurance Officer

Do you have knowledge and understanding of GMP, Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Microbiology?Would you like to work for a leading biopharmaceutical organisation in the London area?

My client are an established organisation, involved in the research, development and production of biopharmaceuticals to treat a range of diseases. They have an enviable range of products on market and employ leading scientists from around the world. Due to continued growth they are looking to hire a graduate scientist (at any stage of their career) to work in the Microbiology department.

As a Microbiology Sterility Assurance Support Officer you will be responsible for trending and reviewing microbiological out-of-limits data; for coordinating sterility assurance meetings; for raising and assessing CAPA action items; for raising and tracking process impact assessments; and for tracking investigation responses. All in line with GMP, FDA and MHRA guidelines.

The role will involve liaising with laboratory based microbiologists, as well as occasional visits to process areas, including aseptic processing facilities.

To be considered you'll need the following skills and experience;

  • A degree in Microbiology or a related biological / life sciences subject, or equivalent working experience
  • Understanding of GMP and Quality Assurance plus an understanding of pharmaceutical microbiology
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical processing with the ability to create and revise documentation
  • Demonstrated organisational skills
  • Ability to use Excel and Word proficiently for technical report writing
  • Ability to work with teams on projects and ideas
