Associate Scientist - Cell Line Development
A well-established biotech is looking for an associate scientist to join their cell line development team.
Full Time - 37.5 hours/week
Salary from £22k/annum - DOE
As an associate scientist you will support the culture of patented mammalian cell line for the production of molecules.
Your expertise will be with mammalian cell routine techniques of passaging and protein production, ideally with CHO cells.
You will be familiar with techniques such as cloning, transfection, protein expression, purification and analysis.
Your ability to work independently and to deadline will be essential to support the production of molecules according to established protocol.
Experience of working in a research laboratory will equips you to troubleshooting and executing new protocols.
Focused on delivering the results, the company is also keen to promote development and there will be opportunities to contribute to projects and learn new skills.
* Life Science degree or equivalent, with laboratory expertise (E)
* Basic expertise in Mammalian cell culture, cloning and protein production (E)
* CHO cells experience (D)
* Basic knowledge of Molecular Biology techniques, PCR, ELISA, SDs-PAGE, affinity chromatography (E)
* Experience of R&D or research environment laboratory work (D)
* Ability to work to procedures and quality standards (E)
* Working independently and as part of a team (E)
