Job Role (P2L) 1506C - 010/005 Multi Trade Business Line: Global Operations, Engineering & Laboratory Support Location: API/DPS Pfizer Sandwich Discipline: Multi-skilled - Mechanical/Electrical Position Purpose

  • Provide mechanical & electrical engineering maintenance support to ensure that pharmaceutical equipment and supply services operate consistently and in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Organizational Relationship:

  • Direct report to Maintenance Manager

Primary Duties:

  • Respond to equipment breakdowns, provide first line diagnostic and arrange for scheduling, components and (if necessary) resource for repair
  • Make provision for safe system of work including isolations.
  • Arrange and work to Permit To Work where relevant
  • Support Third Party resources to complete contracted tasks
  • Perform planned maintenance in accordance with work order instructions and associated procedures.
  • Complete electronic notification and/or paper documents to confirm completion of tasks
  • Perform mechanical & electrical installation works in accordance with regulated standards
  • Perform testing in accordance with scheduled, documented tasks and in accordance with mechanical engineering standards
  • Document equipment/system modifications using relevant procedure
  • Complete regulatory documentation
  • Report equipment services or events which are out of regulatory compliance using relevant procedure
  • Communicate equipment status to Operational Personnel

Training & Education:

  • Engineering Apprenticeship and engineering working experience
  • Recognised cross skilling training and/or qualification - mechanical & electrical
  • Experience of working within Pharmaceutical Environment
  • Knowledge of GxP in Engineering Applications
  • User level computer knowledge for completing documentation and email
  • User level knowledge of Pfizer computerised maintenance systems
  • Standard Operating Procedures and instructions relevant to Job Function
