R&D Quality Engineer - Medical Device - Circa £45,000 per annum + BenefitsSRG are currently recruiting for a R&D Quality Engineer to join a well established Medical Device company in the West Midlands on a permanent basis at a salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.As a R&D Quality Engineer, you will focus on continual improvement, device specific compliance and consistency of documentation to support regulatory transition into an increasingly regulated field. This will include engaging with leading surgeons and other key stakeholders, in the design, development, prototyping, manufacture, and testing of devices. The position will play a key role in maintenance and growth for the company.You will be responsible for;* Responsible for all in market device product centred updates.* To maintain and evolve DHF's, Technical Files and key documentation in line with product updates and continual evolution of the regulatory landscape requirements.* To provide support and guidance in the development of new devices.* Develop new concepts from initial design to market release.* Ensure documentation and approach to work complies with the Company's Standard Operating Procedures.* Create / review documentation and sign-off where appropriate.* Maintain detailed documentation throughout all phases of research and development.* Be responsible for device specific risk management, NC, CAPA, and customer complaint reports to successful timely conclusion.* Supervise laboratory testing, including creation of test protocols, designing and procuring test apparatus, interacting with external test resource, analysis of results and report writing.* Managing device specific surveillance data* Liaise with suppliers during development of products to agreed specifications.Skills & Experience;* Experience of working in the medical device industry.* A thorough approach to work with a high attention to detail.* An understanding of CE marking and FDA requirements* Educated to degree level in a Scientific or Engineering discipline.* Experience of visualising new product concepts.* Understanding of manufacturing techniques and processes.
