Laboratory Technician- Part Time- 12 month FTCGlasgow

We are currently seeking someone to join a well established team on a part time basis.
The laboratory technician will report to a Senior Scientist within the Technical Development (TD) department.
Once fully trained the laboratory technician will support the Analysts and Scientists to develop and perform analytical methods within the TD department. Additional duties may include providing support for client studies that are performed to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), or GCP (Good Clinical Practice) as applicable. The laboratory technician will be expected to comply with all good scientific working practices followed by the TD department, and to comply with the relevant SOPs in relation to the duties performed. Full training will be provided to enable this.
This will involve:
- Maintaining stock levels in the laboratories
- Ordering supplies
- Maintaining and cleaning equipment
- Reagent and buffer preparation
- Standard cell culture techniques
- Someone with qualifications in a science related subject from school and/or HNC/HND level
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work in a team and independently
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to learn
