Quality, Health and Safety Coordinator - Life Sciences

Cambridge

£28-35K per annum

A growing life science organisation in Cambridge is hiring for a QH&S Coordinator to support the busy Operations team, ensuring that quality and safety protocols are observed and met across the site. Reporting in to the Operations Manager, the key role requirements for this role are:

  • Oversight and maintenance of the QMS, ensuring regular review and updates in line with ISO 9001:2015

  • Execute the planning and facilitation of quarterly reviews for the QMS and H&S committees

  • Plan and arrange internal and external audits for both the Quality and H&S teams

  • Point of contact for escalations relating to incidents, root cause analysis and CAPA's and take responsibility for ensuring timely completion of CAPA's and updating process maps

  • Work collaboratively with a network of helpful external QH&S advisors, and access regulatory bodies when required

  • Undertake H&S inductions for new starters and record all related information accurately

  • Expert on site for the document control system, and acting as internal advisor and point of contact for all Quality and H&S issues, queries and concerns

  • Proactively identify opportunities for up-skilling staff in relation to H&S or engaging them in the culture of continuous improvement and compliance

Person Specification:

  • Ideally you will have worked in a Life Science organisation and have a good demonstrable understanding of the working practices associated with a highly regulated environment

  • Proven experience of working in EITHER a Quality OR Health and Safety position (or dual, but both is not essential), with ISO 9001:2015, QMS and risk assessments

  • Minimum of A Level in a Science (or equivalent)

  • Strong attention to detail, excellent communication and influencing skills and ability to work unsupervised regularly
